Bigger or smaller: How to scale your pictures with Gimp
You don't have to be a Photoshop ace to get your pictures to a certain size. The free image editing tool Gimp scales your pictures with just a few clicks:
- Open the desired image in Gimp via the "File" tab or drag it into the empty workspace of the software.
- Then click on "Image" in the menu bar and select the entry "Scale image"
- A new window opens (see picture). There you can now set the desired image size. To change the size unit of your photo, click on the "px" button. This allows you to convert the size into centimeters or inches.
- Confirm the changes by clicking on "Scale". You can then save the enlarged image via "File"> "Save as".
