Gimp: Colorize your lips - that's how you do it
The image editing program Gimp provides you with several functions with which you can give your lips more color. In this guide, we show you how to recolourize lips in Gimp.
Gimp: choose lips
When processing your lips, these must first be selected. The quick mask gives you the opportunity to select image areas in detail.
- Open the image to be edited in Gimp and activate the quick mask by pressing the key combination Shift + Q. There is a reddish area over the image.
- Choose White as the foreground color and click the Brush tool. Adjust the brush size so that you can color the lips well. If you come out a little over the edge, set the foreground color to black. You can paint over the smallest mistakes.
- If you are satisfied with the result, click the key combination Shift + Q again. The mask turns into a selection.
Gimp: Colorize your lips
Once you have made your selection, you can make the lips more visible by coloring them in again.
- Navigate to "New Layer" under "Layer". Name the new layer with a name of your choice and set the layer fill type to "Transparency". Click OK".
- Choose a bold red tone as the foreground color. Click on the fill tool and use it to fill the selection with the foreground color.
- In the Layers window, set the mode to "Hue". If you set the mode to "color", you should reduce the opacity a little to emphasize the lips slightly.
