Gimp: edit PDF file - how it works
With Gimp, you can edit PDF files even without owning the original file. You can easily implement minor changes. We will show you how to do this here.
Edit PDF file with Gimp - so go ahead
- Call up Gimp and open the desired PDF file via "File"> "Open".
- Then select the pages of the PDF file that you want to edit. Now adjust the resolution to at least "300 pixels / in" to keep quality losses to a minimum.
- For the subitem "Open pages as ..." you have to select "Pages" in the dropdown menu. Each PDF page is then opened as a separate image. Then load the pages into the image editing program with "Import".
- Now you can edit the pages as usual with the Gimp tools: For example, individual letters and words can be removed with the eraser or supplemented with the text tool.
- Once you have edited the PDF file as desired, click on "File" and then on "Export as". Now complete the name and location of the PDF file and confirm with "Export".
