Gimp doesn't start - what to do?
In this practical tip, we will show you what you can do if Gimp does not start.
You can do that when Gimp doesn't start
- Check to see if Gimp has been blocked by your firewall or antivirus.
- Make sure that the subfolders "fonts", "gimp" and "gtk-2.0" are in the folder "C: \ Program Files \ GIMP 2 \ etc".
- If this is not the case, reinstall the program. After uninstalling, however, delete all the folders that are left by hand. In another practical tip, you can read which tool you use to completely remove programs.
- Make sure you always have the latest version of Gimp installed.
This practical tip is based on Gimp 2.8.14 under Windows 7. In the next practical tip, you will learn how to open and edit EPS files with Gimp.
