If your toolbox in the "Gimp" image editing program has disappeared, you can restore it in two ways. In this practical tip we will show you how.
Gimp - show or hide all docks
- You may have hit the tab key while working with Gimp. Press it again so that the docks become visible again.
- Alternatively, you can show or hide the docks using the "Window"> "Hide docks" tab.
Toolbox disappeared via "Close"
If you came across the red cross "close", you can make the tool box visible again in another way:
- In the main window of "Gimp" click on the "Window" tab.
- Move the mouse over the "Recently Closed Docks" option. If you find the "Toolbox" there, you can restore it by clicking on the entry.
- If the menu is empty, you will find the "New toolbox" option a little further down. After selecting this entry, the toolbar will appear on your screen.
