Prepare gin and tonic ice cream - how it works
If you serve your guests a gin and tonic ice cream instead of the cocktail at the summer party, this provides additional refreshment. In this article, we show you how to prepare the ice cream.
Gin and tonic ice cream: You need these ingredients
Since a gin and tonic ice cream is made with alcohol, the treat is not suitable for children.
- To get the ice in shape, you need six shapes for popsicles.
- For this amount of ice you need 480ml of tonic water.
- Of course, 120ml of gin should not be missing from this ice cream.
- 50g of powdered sugar provide sweetness.
- 50ml lemon juice give the ice cream a little freshness and acidity.
- The gin ice cream is particularly tasty and also visually appealing if you also have a few thin cucumber slices or optionally lime slices ready.
How to prepare the alcoholic ice cream
If you have the ingredients ready, the preparation is quick and easy.
- First remove the carbon dioxide from the tonic water. Before cooking, either leave it open for a while or fill it in a jar and stir vigorously.
- Then put the tonic water, the gin, the lemon juice and the powdered sugar in a container. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
- Now put a slice of cucumber or lime in each ice mold and fill in the gin and tonic mixture. The gin and tonic ice cream only takes about five hours in the freezer to finish.
A perfect dessert on hot summer days is raspberry parfait. You can find out in our next article how the semi-frozen works.
