Git: Stash - so use the command
This practical tip shows you how to use the Git Stash command when working with Git.
Git: How to Use the Git Stash Command
If you have to fix a feature error during your programming work, but do not want to commit the current work yet, the "git stash" command helps.
- If you enter the "git stash" command, the changes to the current branch are saved elsewhere and the branch is reset to its original state. So there are no changes to this branch for Git and you can switch with a checkout.
- If you want to return to your current branch later, you can reapply the changes made using the "git stash pop" command.
