Test winner at Stiftung Warentest: The frog glass cleaner prevents streaking
Stiftung Warentest checked a total of six criteria to determine the test winner. The glass cleaners were tested for their cleaning performance, the formation of drops and streaks, and any additional properties. Added to this was how gentle the cleaners were and how they could be handled. Another criterion was the health and environmental properties.
- The "Spiritus Glas-Reiniger" glass cleaner from Frosch emerged as the test winner and was able to convince the experts above all because it hardly left any drops or streaks. In addition, the glass cleaner is material and environmentally friendly. At 34 cents per 100 milliliters, the Frosch cleaner is one of the more expensive products in the test.
- "Glas-Total" by Mr Muscle took second place in the glass cleaner test. Above all, the product scored points with its material-saving properties and also hardly left any drops and stripes on the window pane. With a price of 39 cents per 100 milliliters, the glass cleaner from Mr Muscle is the second most expensive product when tested by Stiftung Warentest.

In the test, there were several products that were a real bargain. Among them is a home remedy for ten cents per 100 milliliters, which is mixed from distilled water, methylated spirit and detergent. However, the experts were not really convinced, since at least 13 of the 19 glass cleaners tested were able to clean the panes better.
- With also ten cents per 100 milliliters, the "Blink glass cleaner" from Müller received third place at Stiftung Warentest. The experts praised the cleaner because it was gentle on the material and left only a few drops and streaks. Added to this was the environmentally friendly design of the product.
- Although the manufacturers promised a reduced adhesion of dirt and water stains, the glass cleaner only achieved a mediocre finish with these additional properties.
