Set up a vacation notice in the Gmail app
If you are on vacation and cannot reply to e-mails, you can set up an out-of-office message not only in the browser version of Gmail. Proceed as follows on the smartphone:
- Open the Gmail app.
- Tap the overflow menu (the three small dots) in the top right.
- Select "Settings" and tap the corresponding Gmail account.
- Scroll down to Out of Office.
- Here you can write your text and set a time period in which the automatic reply should be sent to incoming emails.
- Drag the switch at the top right to "On" and then tap on "Done".
