Gmail app: delete multiple emails at once
This practical tip shows you how to delete several emails at once in the Gmail app for Android.
Delete multiple emails at once in the Gmail app
- Open the Gmail app.
- To be able to select multiple emails, simply tap on a colorful square to the left of the sender's name.
- You can tell whether a message has been selected from the fact that the field is highlighted in light blue.
- When you are finished making your selection, tap the trash can icon at the top.
- There may be no trash can icon at the top of the bar. If so, tap the three small squares in the right corner. Now you see the entry "delete".
Unfortunately, you cannot mark and delete all emails at once with a single click.
The Gmail version 4.5-694836 and Android 4.1.2 were used. In older versions of Gmail, the selection for multiple messages may be slightly different.
