GMX-Mail: Activate forwarding
In this practical tip you can read how to set up a GMX mail forwarding - for example because you have switched to another e-mail provider.
Activate forwarding in GMX mail
E-mail forwarding is often well hidden in the settings. How to set up GMX mail forwarding quickly and easily:
- As soon as you are in your GMX mailbox, click on "Settings" in the bottom left corner.
- A new window is opening up. Here, under the "Folder" entry, click on "Filter rules".
- Then click on "Set up new filter rule".
- Now tick the "All new mails" entry.
- Now tick the "Forward copy to another address" entry. Now enter your desired destination email address here. Then click Next".
- Finally, give the filter rule a name. In the "Settings" under the item "Filter rules" you will see the created filter of the email forwarding.
Important: If you activate the forwarding permanently, you should also tick "Delete" (see screenshot), otherwise your GMX mailbox will be full at some point and it will no longer be possible to receive e-mails. To be on the safe side, however, make sure that the forwarding to the new mailbox actually works - so it's best to set the delete checkmark in a second step.
