GMX: memory full - what to do?
If your memory at GMX is full, you have to expand it or delete mails you no longer need. We show you how this works in this guide.
GMX memory full: delete mails
First log into your GMX account and switch to the "Mail" area.
- First, empty your deleted folder. The storage space gained in this way is often sufficient. To do this, click on "Deleted" in the list on the left and mark all mails by ticking the bar next to "Delete". Then click on "Delete".
- You can also delete mail from certain senders or only older mail. You should also remove mails with large attachments that you no longer need. To do this, click on "Inbox" and select an appropriate sorting in the bar on the top right. Mark the mails you want to delete and click "Delete".
- Sorting by size also makes sense. This way you can quickly locate and delete large mails that you no longer need.
- After deleting, you should empty the deleted folder again. Now you can see your currently available storage space in the "Start" area of the mail status window. If there is still not enough memory, you can expand your storage space.
GMX: expand storage space
You can expand your storage space at GMX to 5 GB for a fee.
- In the "Start" area in the small mail overview window under "E-Mail Storage" click on "Expand".
- A premium contract with a 12-month term costs EUR 2.99 per month. To conclude the contract, click on "Buy" and follow the instructions.
