Remove GMX Toolbar
With the GMX toolbar, the email provider informs you of new messages in your inbox. The toolbar can be removed again with just a few clicks. We'll show you exactly how this works using Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer.
How to remove GMX Toolbar from IE, Firefox and Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox: Open the "Add-ons" in Firefox and select "Extensions" (see picture). Here you can deactivate the GMX Toolbar for now or delete it immediately.
- Google Chrome: The procedure is very similar, because with Chrome you will find the delete button in the tools. Under "Extensions" you just have to select and uninstall the toolbar.
- Internet Explorer: This browser makes the complete removal a little more difficult: In Internet Explorer itself, you can only deactivate the GMX toolbar. Uninstall completely only works via the system settings. To do this, you have to call it up and click on "Uninstall a program" under "Programs" or "Software". In the list of all installed programs you will also find the toolbar, which can be completely removed with one click. For the individual OS versions, this is explained in detail in the practical tips "Uninstalling Windows programs".
Before the toolbar is deleted, GMX would like to know the reason for it. Select an option, click "Next" twice - and then you have done it: The GMX toolbar has been removed.
