If you would like to deactivate your Google Assistant, proceed as follows.
- Before you can deactivate the Google Assistant, you must first call it up. To do this, long tap on the home button of your smartphone or tablet.
- Then tap on the compass icon in the lower right corner in the app (see image 1).
- Now tap the button with your Google profile picture. This is located in the upper right corner (see picture 2).
- In the pop-up menu that is now displayed, select the "Settings" item (see Figure 2).
- Then tap on the "Assistant" tab (see figure 3) and select the "Smartphone" option (see figure 4).
- The Google Assistant is now displayed there. Deactivate it with the slider by tapping on it (see figure 5).

- Open the settings of your smartphone and click on the "Apps" submenu (see figure 1).
- Now go to the three dots at the top right of the screen and select the "Standard Apps" tab in the dropdown menu (see Figure 2).
- Click on the "Device assistance app" button (see figure 3).
- In the following window, tap again on "Device assistance app" (see figure 4).
- Now you can deselect the Google Assistant and click on "Without" instead (see figure 5).
