Google Chrome: the best keyboard shortcuts
With the right key combinations, you can save a lot of time with Google Chrome. We show you which shortcuts you shouldn't do without.
The five best keyboard shortcuts for Google Chrome
- [Alt] + [F] / + [E]: These two shortcuts open the Chrome menu, for example to make settings (see picture).
- [Ctrl] + [H]: This key combination shows you the chronicle or "History".
- [Ctrl] + [K] / + [E]: You can search both shortcuts with the default search engine via the address bar. You only have to enter a search term and start the search with [Enter].
- [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [Del]: The combination deletes all saved website logs and user data under Chrome.
- [Ctrl] + [Enter]: For websites with the domain ".com" you only have to enter the homepage name. The shortcut then completes it with a "www." and ".com".
Many other key combinations such as [Ctrl] + [J] for the download history are identical for all browsers. So take a look at the Firefox shortcuts.
