Google Chrome: sort bookmarks alphabetically
In Google Chrome you can sort your bookmarks alphabetically for a better overview. In this guide we show you how to do it.
Google Chrome - how to sort your bookmarks alphabetically
- In Google Chrome, click on the menu button with the three dashes in the top right.
- Move the mouse over the "Bookmarks" item and then click on "Bookmark Manager". A new window is opening up.
- Select the folder with your bookmarks in the left sidebar.
- Then click on the "Organize" button and press the "Reorder by title" item in the drop-down menu.
- Your bookmarks are now sorted alphabetically.
Chrome: Sort bookmarks in tile look
In newer Chrome versions (42.0.2311.90 m and newer) the old bookmark manager is no longer used. Here Google relies on a modern tile look.
- Unfortunately, the new design also removes the alphabetical sorting feature.
- To get to bookmarks quickly, you have to use the search bar.
