Google Chrome: Set up multiple user profiles
This practical tip shows you how to set up multiple user profiles for the Google Chrome browser.
Set up multiple user profiles in the Google browser
In Google Chrome, every user can make their own settings. These include, for example, the favorites, start pages and extensions. To do this, set up a separate profile for each user:
- In the open Chrome browser, click on the menu icon at the top right.
- Choose "Settings".
- Scroll down to the "User" menu item.
- Click the "Add New User" button.
- Choose an avatar and username. Optionally, create a desktop shortcut for the new user.
- Then click "Create".
- In the same overview, you can also remove and edit users and import bookmarks and settings that you previously backed up with a backup.
