Use Google Chrome with Kindle Fire HD - Here's how
Actually, you could easily install Google Chrome on your Kindle Fire HD if the browser were available in the Amazon App Store. We'll show you how to use the browser via sideload on the Amazon tablet.
Step by step to Chrome on Kindle Fire
Even if Amazon does not offer certain apps in its own app store, they can be installed:
- To do this, you must check the "Allow application installation" checkbox in the "Device" sub-item.
- You then need ES File Explorer from the Amazon App Shop to access all files on your Kindle Fire HD.
- Then download the APK file of the Chrome browser from our download page - preferably on your Kindle Fire. Otherwise you have to transfer the downloaded file from the PC to your tablet via USB cable.
- Navigate to and tap on Chrome's APK file using ES File Explorer.
- You have to confirm the opening installation window. After a short installation, you can use the Google browser on your Amazon tablet.
