Acer Chromebook 13 CB5
The Acer Chromebook 13 CB5 is very well equipped for around 350 euros and does not have to hide from the upper class.
- Display: The 13.3 inch TFT display with LED backlight has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD). ComfyView is used as the display technology. The matt coating reduces reflections.
- Connections: The device has two USB 3.0 connections and an HDMI connection.
- Battery: The Acer Chromebook 13 CB5 has a 3220 mAh battery. The manufacturer specifies a battery life of up to 11.5 hours.
- Equipment: NVIDIA's Tegra K1 Quad-Core is used as the CPU. The processor has 4 GB of RAM. The hard disk has a storage capacity of 32 GB.
HP Chromebook 11 and 14
You get the 11.6-inch Chromebook 11 from HP's range for around 200 euros. The prices for the larger 14-inch Chromebook 14 are between 279 and 451 euros, depending on the version.
- Display: Both devices have a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The HD display has white LEDs, the so-called WLEDs. These ensure a high light output with low power consumption.
- Connections: The HP Chromebook 14 has two USB 3.0, one USB 2.0 and one HDMI connection. The smaller version only has two USB 2.0 ports.
- Battery: The manufacturer specifies a maximum runtime of 6 hours for the Chromebook 11. The bigger brother even manages 9.5 hours.
- Equipment: In the cheapest version you get an SSD with 16 GB of memory. The main memory is 4 GB.
Google Chromebook Pixel
The Google Chromebook Pixel is the Porsche among the Chromebooks. At around 1600 euros, the notebook is not exactly cheap, but convinces with very good features.
- Display: The 12.85-inch touch display has a resolution of 2560 x 1700 pixels. The aspect ratio of 3: 2 is striking.
- Connections: With just two USB 2.0 connections, the features of the Google Chromebook Pixel are not exactly high. With the mini DisplayPort (mDP for short) you can transmit image and sound signals to a screen or projector.
- Battery: Despite the powerful processor Intel Core i5 (Dual Core 1.8GHz), the device manages 5 hours of battery life.
- Equipment: A 32 GB SSD is installed as standard in the Chromebook Pixel. The LTE version has 64 GB. Like the competition, the RAM is 4 GB.
