In this practical tip, we explain how to edit a PDF file in "Google Docs".
Step 1: Sign in to "Google Drive"
To edit a PDF file with "Google Docs", you need a Google account. Go to the Google website and select the Google product "Drive" in the top right menu after you have logged in with your Google account.
Step 2: Upload PDF document to "Google Docs"
- Select the up arrow next to "Create".
- Click on "Files" in the submenu.
- Upload the desired PDF file from your computer.
- After a successful upload, you will see your PDF document on the "Google Drive" homepage.
Step 3: edit the PDF document in "Google Docs"
After you have successfully uploaded your PDF document to "Google Drive", you can open and edit it in "Google Docs":
- Click on the name of your document.
- Here you can see the preview of your PDF.
- Click "Open" at the bottom right.
- Go to the "File" menu for editing and select "Google Docs" in the "Open with" subitem.
- Now you can edit the text of your PDF document directly online in "Google Docs". The document to be edited remains in PDF format. Changes are saved automatically.
