Google Drive: create backup - how it works
So that important data is not lost, it is often saved on Google Drive. But Google cannot guarantee data security either. Here we present a way that you can restore your files.
Create automatic backup of Google Drive: Spinbackup helps
Spinbackup is a cloud service that automatically backs up your Google Drive folder at predetermined intervals. Not only are you protected against data loss on the part of Google, but you can also restore files that have been deleted by mistake. Spinbackup also backs up other Google products like your calendar, contacts, and photos. Up to 4 GB of storage space is free for private individuals.
- First open Spinbackup in any browser.
- Click on "Sign up with Google" and log in with the Google account that houses your important data. Then you have to confirm that you want to grant Spinbackup access to your Google account.
- Now you get directly to the dashboard. Here you get an overview of the products that can be saved. Later you will also see how much of your storage quota is already used on Spinbackup.
- By clicking on "Autobackup" in the navigation bar on the left, you can determine which Google products you want to back up. Click on the entries in the "Scheduled" column to select the frequency and time of the respective backup. Under "Settings" you can exclude individual folders from the backup.
- The installation is now complete. If the content to be backed up is larger than your quota, you will be warned on the homepage. In this case you can do three things: exclude individual products or folders from the backup, buy more storage space or click on "WIN FREE STORAGE" above. There you get additional storage for sharing or liking Spinbackup.
If you prefer backups on your computer, you can of course also synchronize Google Drive with your PC.
