Google Drive: undo changes
Changes are automatically saved in Google Drive, but you can quickly undo them. You can find out exactly what you need to do in this article.
Google Drive: Undo changes in documents
There are 2 simple ways you can undo changes in Google Drive:
- In a document, presentation, or spreadsheet, click the Undo arrow. By default, this is located in the upper toolbar on the left.
- To avoid having to click on the arrow, you can use the key combination [Ctrl] + [Z]. Incidentally, this works in all input fields.
Google Drive: Undo move
You can also use the Undo function to move files that you accidentally dragged to the wrong folder:
- After you have moved something in Google Drive, the text field appears in the upper half of the picture with the button "Undo".
- If you click this button, your data is back in the previous folder.
If you've accidentally deleted files in Google Drive, we'll show you how to restore them in this article.
