Google Drive: Empty trash - how it works
This practical tip shows you how to empty your trash in Google Drive.
Empty the trash in Google Drive
Deleted Google Drive files are not irretrievably lost, but end up in the trash first. If you need more free space, you can empty your trash as follows:
- Sign in to Google Drive with your account.
- Click "Trash" in the left side menu.
- You will get an overview of your temporarily deleted files. If you want to delete all files at once and permanently, click on the arrow next to "Trash".
- Finally, select "Empty trash".
