Update Google Earth - how it works
By updating Google Earth, you ensure that you can use all functions of the software. This also closes possible security gaps. You can find out what you need to do in this guide.
Update Google Earth to the latest version
The Google Updater is usually installed on your system with Google Earth. This automatically searches for program updates in the background and takes them over independently, so you don't have to worry about them. If you have intentionally or accidentally switched off the updater or if it no longer works for another reason, you can also update Google Earth manually:
- Download Google Earth. During installation, you can overwrite the existing version and do not have to uninstall it beforehand.
- Alternatively, download and install the latest version of Google Earth including Google Update. The Google Updater is then also set up so that future updates are automatically imported.
In the next practical tip you will read what to do if Google Earth only shows you a black image.
