Google: delete photos completely - how it works
You just want to separate yourself from some photos. In this practical tip, we will show you how you can completely delete pictures from Google Photos so that they do not reappear on other devices.
Google: Permanently remove photos with your smartphone
- Open the Google Photos app on your smartphone and find the photo you want to delete.
- Long press on the desired images and then click on the dung bucket icon in the top right. This will move the selected photos to the trash. This is automatically emptied after 60 days.
- If you want to delete the images in the trash immediately, click on the three dashes in the top left to display the menu. Then press the trash can icon. Select all the photos you want to remove and click the trash can in the top right. This will delete the photos immediately.
Google: delete photos completely via the browser
- Open Google Photos in your browser.
- Move the cursor over the images you want to delete and mark them by clicking on the checkmark in the top left.
- Then click the trash can icon at the top right of the screen. You have now moved the selected images to the trash. From there, the photos are automatically deleted after 60 days.
- To delete the photos completely, click on the three lines in the top left and open the menu. Then click "Trash" and then click "Delete Trash". All images are therefore irretrievably deleted.
