Connect Google Home to Bluetooth devices: Here's how
If you want to listen to music via Google Home, you can connect your system, speakers or speakers via Bluetooth. We'll show you how.
Instructions: Connect Bluetooth devices to Google Home
If you connect Google Home to a speaker or headphones via Bluetooth, all media will be played via the Bluetooth device. Google Assistant timers, alarms and responses will continue to play through Google Home.
- Turn on the Bluetooth speaker and put it into pairing mode. To do this, you usually have to press the Bluetooth button.
- Now start the Google Home app on your mobile phone and tap on the device icon in the top right.
- Look for the Google Home speaker in the list and tap there on the menu button, consisting of three dots.
- In the "Settings" under "Standard speakers for music" select the option "Pair Bluetooth speakers".
- Select the Bluetooth speaker, wait for the connection and then tap on "Done".
Tips & tricks for Bluetooth speakers on Google Home
- When you turn on the speaker, Google Home automatically connects to the device. If this is not the case, you can select the speaker again using the instructions above. Alternatively, use the following voice command: "Ok Google, establish a connection".
- Note that you can only connect one Bluetooth speaker to the Google Home at a time. If you want to automatically connect to another speaker in the future, it is worth decoupling the previous speaker again. To do this, also use the instructions above.
