Delete Google contacts - how it works
All contacts on your Android smartphone are synchronized with the Google contacts. If you delete the contacts on the cell phone, they are still saved online at Google. We'll show you how to permanently delete your Google contacts.
Delete Google contacts online
You can access all the contacts you've created online with a Google service, such as Android, through the Google Contacts page. You can also delete the contacts here:
- To do this, first go to Google Contacts in your browser.
- Sign in with your Google account, which you also use on your Android device. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it here.
- Select "All contacts" in the list on the left and move the mouse over the contact you want to delete. Then check the box on the left.
- You can also select multiple contacts at once. To mark all contacts, click on a contact and then click on the small arrow at "1 selected" and select "Select all".
- To delete the marked contacts, click on the small trash can in the bar on the top right.
- If you have accidentally deleted one or more contacts too much, you can restore the contacts below by clicking "Undo".
