This practical tip shows you how to activate the 3D view in Google Maps.
Activate 3D view in Google Maps
You can also use the Google Earth satellite images on Google Maps - including a 3D view of the map you’ve viewed. This means that you can see impressive pictures, especially in large cities. Here's how it works:
- Open Google Maps in the browser.
- When you are in the map view, first switch to the "Satellite" view via the square at the bottom left.
- On the right side you will find the "3D" button, with which you can activate the 3D view.
- Zoom in with the mouse scroll wheel or the buttons on the control panel. Now you can see the elevations and buildings in 3D.
