To use the filter function, you need the current version 9 or higher. You can always find the current version of the Google Maps app in our app portal.
- Start Google Maps and tap at the top in the empty area of the search line.
- Scroll down a bit and select a category such as "supermarket". Below you can show all categories via "View more categories".
- Once you have selected a category, all of the locations are shown on the map. Now tap on the menu button at the top of the search line (consisting of three dashes).
- Here you can now see all search results in a list. At the top right you will find the item "Filter".
- All filter options are displayed there. For most categories, you can currently only filter by user ratings or opening hours. For some categories, you cannot currently apply any filters at all.
