Google Maps: Show altitude meters
In this practical tip, we will show you how you can display the altitude of your route on Google Maps.
Google Maps: Show elevation gain for cyclists
If you are planning a bike tour, you can use Google Maps to display the height differences on your route:
- To do this, enter the start and destination of your route on Google Maps.
- Select "By bike" from the route planner.
- You will then automatically see the height differences of your route on a graphic.
- Google Maps often suggests several routes. The blue route is the one currently selected.
- Click on a gray route to display the altitude difference. If you drag individual points of your route to a different location with the mouse, you can change the route as desired.
