This practical tip shows you how to find a straight line between two points in Google Maps.
Find the straight line between two points in Google Maps
- First go to the Google Maps website.
- Now enter the desired location in the search from which you want to calculate the linear distance. You can also choose any point on the map. Simply click once with the left mouse button on the desired point.
- Next, right-click on the point that you previously marked in Google Maps.
- Select "Measure distance" in the pop-up window.
- By clicking with the left mouse button on the desired location to which you want to calculate the linear distance, the distance is displayed.
- You can also move the measuring point. To do this, select the set point with the left mouse button pressed and move it to the desired position.
- You can include any number of locations in your measurement. You can exit the tool to measure the linear distance by selecting the "X" in the pop-up window that appears.
