Permanently disable Google Now
"Google Now" is a very extensive and battery-consuming service from Google. This practical tip shows you how you can permanently deactivate the voice assistant.
Disable Google Now
- Tap and hold the left softkey (or the settings button) on the home screen to open the Google search. Alternatively, go to the "Menu" and open the "Google" app.
- As soon as the Google search appears, press the left softkey again and tap on the "Settings" item.
- In the settings window you will find the entry "Google Now" at the top. Tap on it, check the box "Deactivate location history" and confirm with "Deactivate".
