Google Now - what is it?
Google Now is a kind of personal assistant that Google has integrated into its operating system with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. But in the beginning the real meaning is difficult to see. This tip tells you what you can use Google Now for.
This is what Google Now does on your android
Google Now shows you relevant information depending on your location and time on so-called cards. The main cards are:
- Weather: The map shows you the weather at your current location.
- Traffic: Before you get to work or search for addresses, Google Now tells you how long it takes to get to that place. However, to recognize the way to and from work, you need to allow Google Now a few days to get you started.
- Next appointment: If you have saved an appointment with your location in your Google Calendar, Google Now will notify you when you should start. The assistant also scans the current traffic situation.
- You can get an overview of all cards by clicking on the three dots in the lower right corner of Google Now and then selecting "Sample cards".
