As with many other Google apps, Google Pay also has a dark mode. You can find out how to activate the eye and battery-saving mode here.
Google Pay: How to activate Dark Mode
Since Android 9 (Pie) you can enjoy dark mode with your smartphone. Google has now activated this function for its payment service Google Pay. This way, you can also protect your eyes when paying in the future. However, the function also has a positive effect on your battery life - at least for the widely used OLED displays - because at the points where the display shows black, the LEDs simply fail to appear.
Google does not provide an additional button for activating dark mode with its payment service. Instead, you have to activate the function directly in the smartphone settings. That's how it's done:
- First open the settings of your device.
- Select the menu item Display or Display .
- Find the Device Design button and set it to dark in the drop-down menu.
- For Samsung devices, just turn on night mode.
