Google Play Music: Add devices - Here's how
You can use Google Play Music as an app on multiple devices. This practical tip shows you how to add a new mobile device.
Add new device for Google Play Music
The Google Play Music web application can manage up to ten different devices on which you can listen to and synchronize music with the Google service. There is no button for adding new devices. Here's how to add a tablet or smartphone to the device manager, for example:
- Install Google Play Music on your mobile device or sign in to Google Play Music on a PC with your Google account.
- Open the application and start playing music that has been synced through the Google account.
- While the music is playing on one device, it is paused on another running medium with Google Play Music.
- When playing, Google Play Music remembers which device you last listened to and automatically adds it to the device manager.
- You can find your device overview under "Settings" when you click on the gear in the top right corner of the web application.
