Delete Google Play Music - does it work?
On most smartphones, Google Play Music can only be deleted as a preinstalled app if you have rooted your smartphone. Otherwise, the service can at least be deactivated:
- Open the settings on your smartphone and open the app or application manager.
- Swipe to Google Play Music and tap the app to confirm.
- You can then force the app to close if it should run in the background without being asked.
- If Google Play Music runs incorrectly, it may be worth uninstalling an update.
- Finally, shut down the app by tapping "Disable". Don't forget to clear the cache.
- Google Play Music still uses space, but is disabled.
