Google Play Music: Detect unmatched songs - how it works
Unmatched songs are not flagged in Google Play Music. Nevertheless, you can recognize the uploads by some features. We tell you what to look for.
Track unmatched songs in Google Play Music
Uploaded songs often have a different volume than matched songs. You should therefore synchronize the malefactors again. There are two ways to discover the uploaded files beforehand:
- A first clue is the Google Music Manager. The Google tool manually loads all songs that could not be matched into the cloud. You can recognize this by the upload status on the left window edge (see screenshot).
- Once the files have been uploaded, the Music Manager does nothing. Now you have to look it up on Google Play Music: Find the song you want here and click on the three vertical dots.
- The options menu opens. If the entry "Correct wrong match" can be found here, the song was matched. Otherwise it is an upload.
You can now remove the unmatched songs and re-sync them, for example by transferring the songs from iTunes to the Google Cloud.
