Google Play Music: change streaming quality - how it works
With Google Play Music you can stream almost any piece of music from the Internet directly to your androids. You can specify the quality of the streaming so that your data volume does not suffer constantly. In this practical tip, we will explain how you can do this.
How to change streaming quality on Google Play Music
- First, open the Google Play Music app on your android.
- Then tap the three crossbars at the top left and navigate to the "Settings".
- Under the item "Playback" select the entry "Quality via mobile network". If this entry cannot be selected, you must deactivate "Stream only via WLAN" above the entry.
- After tapping "Quality over cellular network", you can set the quality to "Low", "Medium" or "High". The higher you select the quality, the more data volume the stream consumes.
- For a balanced balance between quality and data volume, we recommend the quality level "medium".
