The full error message reads: "The app could not be downloaded due to an error (500)".
- First open the settings on your Android smartphone.
- Scroll down a little and open the menu item "Apps" or the "Application Manager". The name can vary slightly depending on the model.
- In the "All" category, search for the "Google Play Store".
- Tap the button "Clear data" and "Clear cache". This means that only the settings are lost, important content remains.
