Google SketchUp: create animation - how it works
With the free 3D toolkit SketchUp you can create a smooth animation with just a few clicks. We show you how it works.
How to create an animation with Google SketchUp
- In Google SketchUp, select the object you want to animate and go to the menu "View"> "Animation"> "Add scene".
- Now move or rotate the object a bit and repeat the point "Add scene".
- Repeat step 2 until your desired animation is complete. You can see the individual scenes above the view window on the left.
- Select the first scene and go to "View"> "Animation"> "Play" in the menu to play the animation.
- Playback is probably not smooth and the scenes pause before the next one is displayed. You can remove these unwanted pauses by setting the value for "Scene delay" to "0" under "View>" Animation ">" Settings ".
In the next practical tip, we'll reveal how you can show shadows in Google SketchUp.
