Google SketchUp: create sphere - how it works
Creating a ball with Google SketchUp is not difficult at all. We will show you which steps are necessary.
How to create a sphere in Sketchup
- To get a sphere shown later, you first have to draw a circle. To do this, select the circular tool. The circle should have the size that the ball will later have.
- Now click on the Copy-Move tool. Hold down the [Ctrl] key while you select the circle and move it up. Holding the key will automatically copy the circle.
- In the next step, rotate the circle to the vertical using the "Rotate" tool.
- Next, use the "Follow Me" tool from the advanced feature set. If this is not shown, you can find it under View> Toolbars> Large function set.
- But first click on the selection tool and select the lower one, i.e. your first circle. Then select the "Follow me" tool and click on the upper, vertical circle. This creates a sphere and you can now delete the lower circle.
