Google: Prohibit personalized advertising with name and profile picture
If you click the +1 button on a shopping or eCommerce website, Google links the recommended product to your profile. Recently, your name and profile picture will no longer only be displayed to your Google Plus friends in "normal" search results, but also in advertising ads.
- To prevent this advertising integration, open this website from Google, scroll down, remove the checkmark and press the "Save" button.
- Your name and profile picture can no longer appear as "social recommendations" in Google’s search results. Other uses of your profile information - such as for reviews in the Play Store or on Google Plus itself - are not affected.
