Install Google+ widget on website
If you have your own Google Plus page, it makes sense to include the +1 widget on your own website. We will show you how to do this here.
+1 box via Google code on website or blog
To integrate the Google+ widget into your own website, proceed as follows:
- First, open your Google Plus page to get the URL to which the widget should be related. For CHIP Online, the link looks like this: //plus.google.com/u/0/+chipde/ - If your URL looks more cryptic, it works the same way.
- Now open Google's assistant to the +1 button.
- Now you have to determine how the Google Plus Box should appear on your website later. Under "Size" you select one of the four specified values. The entry at "Note" refers to how the number of followers should be displayed.
- Now click on "Advanced Options" to get to the actual core. Now enter the link of your Google Plus page in the "URL for +1" field. You can leave the remaining values as they are.
- Now right-click in the text field and copy the HTML code. You can now insert this anywhere in your HTML file and the +1 widget for your Google Plus page will appear on your website.
