In this practical tip we will show you how you can film and take pictures with your GoPro at the same time.
Photographing and filming simultaneously with the GoPro - the prerequisites
To be able to film and photograph with your GoPro at the same time, you need either a "GoPro Hero3 Black Edition" or a "GoPro Hero3 + Black Edition". In addition, you can only use this recording function for certain screen resolutions. The "Protune" function and the "SuperView" wide-angle shot are not supported. With the following resolutions you can film and take pictures at the same time:
- With the setting "720p with 60 FPS" you can take pictures with up to 8 megapixels. Your photo is saved in 16: 9 format.
- Even with the screen resolution "1080p with 24 or 30 FPS" you can take pictures with up to 8 megapixels. Your recordings are also saved here in 16: 9 format.
- With the resolution "1440p with 24 FPS" you can use the full 12 megapixels of your "GoPro". Your recordings are recorded here in 4: 3 format.
