Stream GoPro videos to PC
To be able to stream videos from your GoPro on your PC, you need a WiFi-enabled action cam model. If you have an HD Hero or an HD Hero2, you can simply equip it with a WiFi Bacpac. Here's what you need to do to stream the videos from your GoPro to your PC:
- Turn on your GoPro.
- Activate your camera's WiFi. There are two ways to do this: Either you switch it on directly using a built-in button with the wireless symbol on the camera side or you activate it in the GoPro menu under the "Wireless Controls" option.
- Connect your GoPro to your PC via WiFi. If the connection is successful, you will receive the information that you no longer have Internet access.
- Open your internet browser and enter the query code: 10.5.5.9:8080 in the address bar. You should note that not all browsers support a connection. In the test, a connection was established with the Google Chrome internet browser.
- Select the "Videos" folder. Now just click on the file you want to play. Via the "Live" order you can use your GoPro as a webcam and thus start a live stream.
Further useful information and setting options for your GoPro can be found in the operating instructions for the Hero2 or Hero3.
