Green picture at Beamer - it could be because of that
With a projector you bring a feeling of cinema home and enjoy films and videos in brilliant quality. However, if you only see a green image, that's a big annoyance. In this practical tip, we show you how this problem comes about and what you can do about it.
Beamer shows green picture - what to do?
In order to be able to use your projector again quickly, you should try the following steps.
- The first thing to check is the projector bulb. This must emit bright, white light. If you are not sure whether the bulb is OK, you can replace it with a new one.
- In addition, you should make sure that the bulb is correctly attached and the alignment is correct. Otherwise the image may turn green.
- However, if the bulb is still intact, we recommend that you take a look at the three colored discs that are inside the projector. They are responsible for ensuring that the picture is composed correctly.
- All three panes must light up here. If this is not the case, they must be replaced by new ones.
- A source of error can also be a defective or incorrectly connected cable. So also check whether the connections are intact. Alternatively, you can use another cable to rule out a defect.
- Also take a look at the "RGB" settings in the projector menu and reset them as a test.
- If you have the option, you should also connect the projector to a second PC or laptop to rule out a defect in the output device.
- If these tips do not help, there is probably a major defect here. This can only be remedied by a specialist.
