Do you want to create a garden or green a meadow in Minecraft? By growing grass, you not only benefit from the optical effect. We explain how this works in this practical tip.
Minecraft: let grass grow
Grass in Minecraft can be categorized as "Family". This also includes bushes, ferns, large ferns and tall grass. However, normal grass is the most common and the color depends on the biome.
- Grass originally grows on earth blocks and is the easiest to replant there. Since it grows back by itself, you only have to wait.
- Just make sure the area is bright enough, because grass needs a certain level of light.
- A wide plain with few trees is best for this.
- You can still help them grow by sprinkling bone meal on a surface of blocks of grass. The grass grows immediately, often even colorful flowers sprout.
- You get bone meal from bones that are dropped by skeletons.
- This method only works with normal grass and does not apply to fern or bush.
- Dismantle the grass with scissors to keep it in your inventory. If you dismantle it without scissors, it will drop wheat grains.
