GTA 5 hangs in the story mode loading screen - what to do?

• Internet connection: If the servers for the cloud services of GTA 5 are not accessible, the loading screen can freeze. Disconnect from the internet and restart the game.
• Reading error: If the CD is dirty or scratched, your console cannot load the saved files. Therefore, remove the CD and clean it.
• Delete savegame: First, backup the savegame on an external data medium such as a USB stick. Now delete the saved game from the main memory and try loading a new game. If the save works, your actual score is unfortunately defective.
