Make guacamole yourself: This is how the delicious avocado cream works
A delicious avocado cream is quick and easy. To make a healthy and tasty guacamole yourself, you just have to follow a few recipe steps.
Making guacamole yourself: a simple recipe
Avocados are rightly considered healthy. Because they contain many vitamins, minerals and trace elements. With the right recipe, you can quickly and easily conjure up a guacamole that is not only healthy but also tastes good.
- Wash a chilli pepper. You have to dry, halve, core and finely dice them. Alternatively, you can use a tomato instead of a chilli pepper. This is particularly suitable if you are reluctant to eat spicy food.
- Halve two ripe avocados, remove stones and put the pulp in a suitable bowl.
- Peel and press a clove of garlic.
- Crush the flesh of the avocados with a fork or finely dice the avocado. Add two tablespoons of lemon or lime juice and the chilli pepper or a finely diced tomato. The lemon or lime juice prevents the avocado from browning.
- Now add salt and pepper to taste to the guacamole, as well as 150g yogurt. The yogurt is not a must and can also be left out or replaced with a vegan alternative.
- Mix everything together to make a creamy guacamole.
Refine guacamole according to your mood
Depending on your taste and mood, you can also refine and vary a guacamole.
- For example, a guacamole can be refined with different herbs. Chop fresh herbs such as parsley, mint, dill or coriander and add this mixture to the avocado cream. A red onion is also suitable for refining.
- Instead of garlic, you can also use fresh wild garlic, for example.
- Tortilla chips give a guacomola that special something.
- Instead of yogurt, use creme fraiche or sour cream.
- For a fruity guacamole, leave out garlic, onion, and chilli. Instead, add diced mango, strawberries, and mint.
