Guild Wars 2: Engineer Guide
In this Guild Wars 2 guide, we bring you closer to the engineer. So you hit everything with your rifle and roast the enemy with the flamethrower.
Engineering equipment in Guild Wars 2
The engineer does not have a large selection of weapons and cannot change weapons. But with so-called kits, for example, you have access to a flame thrower.
- Weapons: As an engineer, you carry a pistol, shield, or rifle. So you always stay in ranged combat, unless you have equipped a kit. Equip the speargun for underwater combat.
- Gun kits: The most popular gun kit is probably the "flamethrower". With this you roast the enemy from a medium distance. With the "Elixir Cannon" you play a little more defensively. You also use the "tool kit" for defensive play.
- Equipment kit: While you use the grenade kit to fire your opponent directly with explosive material, you use the "bomb kit" to lay mines in your immediate vicinity. But there will definitely be an explosion. The "medicine kit" is available for healing.
- Armor: The engineer wears medium-weight armor and can therefore not endure too much. At level 80, you should focus on berserk armor. This not only gives you strength and precision, but also increases the damage to your critical hits.
Guild Wars 2: The Engineer's Support Skills
In addition to weapon and equipment kits, which you equip as support skills, you play with elixirs and towers.
- Towers: Set up different towers to support you in the fight. "Flame", "Rifle", "Harpoon", "Thunder" and "Missile Tower" do damage, while the "Net Tower" immobilizes enemies.
- Elixirs: With the elixirs you give yourself and your allies important reinforcements for the fight. For example, "Elixir B" gives you anger, power, retribution, and haste. "Elixir C" meanwhile turns all conditions into blessings.
Tips for playing the GW2
The engineer doesn't have a wide range of weapons, but kits give you a complex class that is equipped for every situation.
- In order to defeat stronger opponents, good preparation is required: place mines in a certain area and drag opponents into this minefield. So the enemy is quickly eliminated.
- If you fail more often with a larger opponent with your group, then do not do much damage and equip elixirs. Warriors, thieves and elementalists especially benefit from your reinforcements.
- The "Flamethrower" is designed to cause a lot of damage. Not only do you hit an enemy, you do widespread damage.
